The Consul General of Pakistan to Vancouver, Mr. Janbaz Khan, was the guest of honor at a Dawoodi Bohra lunch in Surrey last weekend.
Mr. Khozema Khambati welcomed guests to the lunch, followed by statements of support by Consul General Janbaz Khan and Mr Huzeifa Roker, the leader of the Dawoodi Bohra community of Vancouver.
Mr Roker presented a cheque on behalf of Project Rise volunteers from the Dawoodi Bohra community to assist with the Pakistan Flood Relief campaign.
Mr. Janbaz spoke of the need to address global warming around the world, and added, “I am very impressed at how your community gets together and helps each other. Those who are in need of support are looked after and made to feel safe and secure.”
The Consul General added, “Remember that you have a heritage that you should be proud of and we will continue to engage with you and are here for you. It is a pleasure to be present at this event.”
